harbour deepholing

i got into deepholing a few years back. done pretty good in the daytime. has anyone ever done any good out there at night? No one that ive gone with has ever tried it at night

past 20 or so foot deep in the harbor and I would think it is dark all the time…but you might find them free casting in shallower waters, especially downcurrent from somebody baiting!

thanks Bonzo, never thought about it like that. weve been killing them between 22 and 35 ft.

Just a bit early? maybe not…

as for deep holing at night, never done it. My whole purpose of deep holing is doing it in the day so I don’t have to deal with late night cleaning.

Give it a try and let us all know if it works that much better. Personally when I have done good at a deep hole throwing during the day, just a few throws and I have no need to go at night. Just to say, it’s always been hit and miss for me.
