Scotty, What kind of numbers did yall get? We should have a nice little group up that way now that TrueBlue has joined our band of misfits. Man I can’t wait to hear that drag screaming.

10 or soAlbies and lots of bluefish…i will have to let Jake explain the curse whenever he returns from the Hoodoo DR. he had me drop him off at…i have never seen a hex like that…it just kept coming at him…Hootch- care to explain?
SG-bring deep lines too, other than the intermed for blitzers, the 550g dredged up a few Albies and something big that almost spooled 340yds of tight drag- prob a kingfish

I wont go into too much detail because I am still a little upset. Let me start by saying the day before we left I seized a new to me 2006 8hp four stroke yammi (user error oil leak) that I just put on a micro skiff I just finished building.
First night the boat was in the water the extra hightide hung the rubrail on the crappy dock and as the tide went out my pathy was at a 45 degree angle and the rub rail was torn off as well as about a foot of crunched and peeled up fiberglas!!! ( maybe ill add pics) I stepped on my pair of 580 costas. Then broke scottys favorite irreplaceable 12 yr old, not in production anymore winston 10wt. Im still sick about this one everything else can be replaced or fixed… but scotty got the whole thing on Video so we had a good chuckle. ( sorry again bro) All this while I managed to either tangle my line or foul my fly in sight of every blitz or break off the few bites i did get…now it gets good…monday morning we were ready to throw the HEX and fish anyway at risk of pissing off our women back home. We fish early in the morning. I was really pumped the night before we tied a ton of the hot fly and ECT… after a long run to Beaufort inlet my engine over heats and we realize the water pump is broke so we get towed back by Tow Boat US with my hopes and dreams crushed by this HEX. I thought that was the final blow from lady luck But no Just wait…
On the way home I blew a trailer tire!!!
But it was still a great adventure, and a great trip. A very expensive but great trip…

Anyone else going right after Thxgiving? I’m thinking of heading down from Virginia Thurs night/Friday morning and taking a ferry to the spit to fish for 2 days. They are still catching albies and reds
