Wow, 80* 100’ down. Someone had to know they were taking way too much cold water. THe weather is going to cool off starting Saturday with highs in the 70’s and lows in the 50’s. Hopefully that will cool down the surface enough to get them to the top.

If it wasn’t for seeing the readings on the “bottom” sensors at Lake Murray, I never would have thought the water got so warm down that deep. What confuses me is the difference in the “bottom” lake reading and the temperature of the water in the river. Right now the “bottom” lake reading is 75* and the river is 63*.
The intakes are obviously much deeper than I ever would have thought they were.
