Got 3 nice fish this morning in the Hatchery stumpfield before the first lightning bolt. First 2 were on the redbug u-vibe and the 3rd on a silver/white S/B. Lots of bait popping in the back ditch. Covered a lot of water before getting the first hit.

I’ve never heard of a “redbug u-vibe”? Can you explain? Who makes it?

Sounds like a Zoom, either an Ultravibe Speed Worm or Ultravibe Speed Craw.
Pitcher is correct, Zoom. West Marine is about the only close place that you can get them other than BPS. It is a senko with a tail. Good mass so you can make long casts with it with just a small weight.
Got 3 more this morning on the white Booyah s/b, w silver willow leafs. A 4 and two 3’s. Had several fish boil on it and two that came to the boat lick’n on it but wouldn’t eat it. Wind was bad but worth the trip. …and now a beer and a 50 lap nap. Go Jr!

Yeah its Zoom. You can also find them at Dick’s and Sports Authority, sometimes wal-mart will have them and sometimes your small “maw & paw” biat shops will have them. It’s sort of like senko with a tail but an atcual swimming senko is constructed different at the tail. The speed worm has a hooked tail where as a swimming senko has a paddle tail.
It don’t matter - the sun will rise and the tides will change.
I guess what I should have said was that West Marine has a full line of colors where most other shops only carry 1 er 2. Redbug is my fav but candybug, grn punkn and red shad have been good. I usually dip the candy bug and grn pnk tail. The fellow that runs the WM at Gaslite is a bass fisherman so he stocks some good stuff. The problem with Dicks and that other place is they get orders in made by some old lady in Maine or Wisconsin. You know, walleye crap!

That is just shy of dropping it a foot in 3 days right as the major spawn starts. Sometimes I think they (Santee Cooper) do it on purpose.

Yep, I went on Monday up around Angel’s Landing and you could see it on the trees. It looked like it was down 8+ inches on all the trees.

Did not do good at all. The lake was chocolate milk and the fish were not up shallow.
