If there is anyone out there looking for a good boat, consider the Tidewater. I have a 2008 19 foot Bay Max, recently had a small waranty issue, spoke to Jimmy and he did’nt hesitate offering to correct the problem. I take great care of my boat, and it takes great care of me. IMO it’s a great value, and will serve you well. Not to mention the willingness of the owner to stand behind his product!!! Awesome boat.
What kind of warranty issue?
I have the same boat in Dual Console. Fantastic. We love it. In fact, I bought Jimmy’s boat, which was the first production 196DC.
Here are a few pictures of her: http://www.tidewaterboats.net/196DC.html

I’ve known Jimmy for several yrs. I met him when he was still with Sea Pro. A real stand up guy.

The reason I asked was because I had two stress cracks (about 3-4") where the gunnel meets the floor on both sides. He picked the boat up, took it to the shop, and had it back to me in a few weeks. Sadly the cracks have came back but not as bad. I can’t give the same amount of credit to Hanckel though. I took it to them first, that’s where I bought it, and they said they would contact Jimmy and get him to fix it. After having it for a few months, yes months, they still had not gotten the problem fixed. When the boat show was in town I confronted him and he said Hanckel had not contacted him at all about the problem, but he took immediate action to get it fixed. Even detailed it for me.
John I would call him back and see if he’s willing to fix it again? But I don’t know, they were able to work me in very quickly. Got it to him Tuesday and picked it up today! While I am delighted with the repair there is a strong posibility the yellowing will happen again. Not TW’s fault or mine for that matter.
