Here’s a few out of our old family album from Hatteras Village-The first one is the old meeting place at Uncle Andrew’s store- the second one is Creeds Hill Life Saving Station (USCG), the third is a picture of a Great Aunt with her fish for the day from the docks and the last is Ernal Fosters “Albatross I” charter boat built in the 30’s and still operating 80 years later.

GREAT stuff. How did that large boat get powered in the 30’s, small and slow engine like the rest???
Your great aunt looks like a twin to my grandmother who was born in the 1880’s, died in the mid 60’s.

Thanks for posting all of your photos of Hatteras. I grew up taking trips there every summer and cherish that place. I actually stayed at Village Marina a few weeks ago with the Albatross Fleet just outside my door.
