Get Turned ON
Last year we did a bunch of 4am and Sunset Kayak Charters/trips. Nothing like hearing that sucking/splash when a nice size red or trout strikes that top water lure.
Get up and out early sunrise over the marsh is wonderful, not many fishermen get up this early/ no other boats on the water, beat the heat and fish are feeding aggressively
HEY get back home by nap time
This is where it started for me last spring:

I’m looking forward to throwing some topwater at the reds. I have never fished topwater for them but have been watching a ton of videos on the subject. When is a good time to start trying topwater? I know the trout bite will be good but when will the reds start surfacing for bait?

Fire. I was looking at my notes and was catching them last year on 3/10. BUT the water was 62F. I will start trying when it gets to be 58+. Probably a couple weeks away if the wx ever breaks!
