I bought my gen2 shortly after they came out and I bought it with the insight mapping. I was wondering if there was any better mapping out there for sale now that is better than the insight.

Navionics is the only way to go…i have the insight and it stinks…only shows contours here and there and they are not very accurate at all on murray…

Let me ask a stupid question? My HDS came with Insight. Can you dump the Insight and load and use Navionics on it?
I am looking at the platinum or the premium the platinum is about 50 bucks more, anyone know if it is worth the extra money? Easy I think you just put the card in the slot and run the software I dont know about deleting the insight.

If you buy the Navionics chip, it can be used in place of “Insight”. You don’t need to delete Insight.

My FF doesn’t do 3D, so it was a mute point for me. From this video, it looks like they use the term “3D” pretty loosely. Doesn’t look to me like it buys you much more than if you just go with the Premium Chip.
