At the risk of sounding like a moron, could someone please tell me the way the new head gaskets are supposed to be installed on my Yamaha 130HP? They come on a peice of cardboard with a piece of plastic on one side, and I cant go by the old ones, because they have already been tossed. I figured it would at least have something saying which side faced the motor.
I have the same motor and have took off the heads before. I was told it does not matter which way you put them on.

I think they will only fit 1 way and all the bolt holes and water passages line up, but both the block and head are aluminum, so there shouldn’t be an issue
Thanks, yall have no idea how much I appreciate your help. Wish I was still in Charleston Chris, cuz I wouldve just brought it to you, but I just dont trust anyone down here yet to work on it.
