I am currently removing the fuel tank from my boat and have to remove the center console to access the tank. Problem is I can’t see how to remove the shift/throttle cables from the control box. It is a dual control Suzuki for DS225s. It looks like if I unbolt the thing it’s gonna come apart like a Swiss watch.Anyone have any experience with these. I can’t seem to find a manual anywhere.
ubolt
pull up out of console
2 black plastic covers on each side must be removed
2 cables per side
remove clip holding cables in place
remove cables
DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING ELSE AND IT WILL ALL STAY TOGETHER

Unfortunately the only plastic on this binnacle is the rouned cover on the top and the rubber inserts on the side of the throttle controls. Everything else is metal. The part/model # is 6700-93j14.
Ok, now I’ve got it. Thanks to ChrisV and Butler Marine for your help. Once I got my hands on an installation manual, kindly lent by the great folks at Butler Marine, I was able to figure out what screws released the two binnacle halves (and which ones to leave alone). Once the halves were apart there were the plastic panels Chris spoke of. Two screws, two retaining pins, and all was done. Whole thing took 45 minutes including labeling where everything goes and reassembly to keep parts in order. Once again THANKS GUYS !
