Help a fella out!

After a few months of reading the forum, I’ve decided to give posting a try in an attempt to locate some local advice or a willing soul to go out with me and show me how things are done. I grew up doing a lot of freshwater fishing, but have just moved to Daniel Island and am looking to give saltwater fishing a try. I just bought a new Scout Sportfish 185 this spring and am wanting to get into trout, reds, etc. inshore in the creeks or to the jettys. I’m also looking for tips on locating the bait, etc., and plan on taking up shrimping soon as well.

Anyone out there willing to go out with a newbie and offer some good advice? Of course I would pay for all gas, ice, etc. in exchange for the learning experience. As I said earlier, I would be putting in at Daniel Island and would love for someone to show me around.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, Pat! Glad to know someone out there is willing to help out. My brothers are in town visiting this weekend, so probably wouldn’t be able to go tomorrow. I will go ahead and email you now just to establish contact w/ you and then maybe we can get something set up in the next week or so.

Thanks in advance.
