Here’s the scenario… I’ve got a two stroke 1994 Mercury 40 horse, 4 cylinder with twin carbs…
I was cleaning the upper carb and when I went to screw the bowl back on to the carb I twisted the screw/jet a little too far and broke it. I managed to get it out of the hole, but now it appears I’m screwed. The part is no longer available anywhere. I’ve checked with Mercury, Duncan’s, Sea Ray, etc. Now begins the search to find a motor like mine being used for parts. The part # is 1395-823621 and the carb is a WMA 10. One end of the part is the screw that holds the bowl onto the upper carb. The other end is a jet to which a small hose is connected for gas to get to the lower carb.
It’s a $6.00 part, but without it I’m going fishing no time soon.
Call Dan at Whitten Marine. If he doesn’t have it Mercury doesn’t have it either 843-884-8706

Greetings,
I recently had the exact same problem, not being able to find the part, as it is NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
I have a small number of them that are newly manufactured locally (via reverse engineering), tested on an actual 40 HP Mercury Mariner Outboard Motor in the water, and it works just like the original.
The parts, the Brass and the upgraded Stainless Steel versions, are both listed on eBay if anyone is interested, or you can e-mail directly.
The Mercury part # is: 1395-823621 (UPPER-WMA-9/10/13)
The link below shows the parts break-down (item 30, listed as ‘Jet Assembly’), to ensure you are getting the part you actually need.
