Was planning on trying to get on some flats this weekend with the flood tide and finding some of those tailing reds for the first time. I’m not looking for anyone’s spots, I have a few places behind IOP I want to try. But I’m not even sure if reds are getting on flats this time of year, during the summer time I’ve seen several people going for them. And I know the trout bite is hot right now, but I figured I’d try something new, the conditions look good this weekend. But just looking for some pointers, high tide is early this weekend so I’ll try to catch them on the falling tide,or should I try to catch the incoming tide? Planning on using some gulp shrimp they work really well for me in the winter when the fish start grouping up and water temp goes down.
