Help me please

Im an avid striped bass fisherman inshore… Chesapeake several times as well
I just bought a new boat and want to bring it down to Charleston on Sunday… I’m coming down with the kids to do some shrimp-recon exploring on the intercostal/bulls bay area. I’m as green as they come concerning salt. Unless 4 years in the Navy count…
Anyways while we’re coming down of course I want to throw some lines to keep the kids occupied… Not looking for sweet spots or gps coordinates, but ideas to occupy them and chance catching a few fish… I know how it is paying dues… Took me a long time to figure out the striper thing, but we catch our share now… Even just knowing which bait shop is closest to Riley’s light would be most valuable…,
Thanks… Tom

Be CAREFUL around Bulls. Since you don’t know it, stay in the intracoastal. Very easy place to get lost, stuck, or both if you don’t know the area. No fun with kids on board!

Cast net should get you plenty of bait. Just in case, you can grab some frozen mullet at any bait shop. Look them up near where you are staying on Google. Seewee Outpost is on the way to Bulls Bay, up 17 North, just 100 yards past Seewee road. They’ll have bait, snacks, etc. More importantly, they’ll have advice.
