Help needed! need to find cedar

I had an unfortunate accident due to an idiot cast netter at one of our beautiful boat landing on Friday. Long story short I have a 4 foot gash in one of the strake boards on my 1954 Simmons Sea Skiff. I’m looking for a 6 foot peice of white/atlantic/eastern cedar. Please please help!

SS

try Berlin Meyers, Summerville

KNOTHEAD

If you cannot find it locally, try Woodzone or Mann Tools here in Columbia.

How wide and thick? My Dad is into wood turning and gets ceder all the time. I know a guy just dropped off a ceder tree the other day. It is still green so it would have to cure. You may be better off if you can find a board that the moisture has been removed. Ceder will crack like crazy if you get a piece that has not been properly cured.

I’d suggest Southern Lumber. They probably got it. Good Luck.

If Southern Lumber doesn’t have it or can’t get it …it doesn’t grow or is extinct.

What dimension piece of wood you need,my house is white cedar logs from N.C.,I may have some pieces in one of my sheds that could help.
