Wade fishing this time of year can be very frustrating… the fish are in the grass but not actively feeding like the spring and summer. Don;t forget the beach… there may still be some fish worth chucking a fly at in the surf… walk to spots are few and far between, unless you know the right people in the right neighborhoods, in my experience any place that anyone can walk out to is usually pretty pressured and beat down. Check your PM’s for a couple spots I know…

Google maps and google earth are your friends. Any place a road runs to a barrier island (like folly or other) will have sections of causeway that cross large expanses of marsh. Easy to find some candidate spots and then do a little driving around when the the tide is high.
