I have 2008 Suzuki 115 that is giving me a ton of problems. Ran the boat with no problems put it on the trailer. When I went to take it back out the motor appears to be stuck in safe mode. Is much louder than it used to be and gives a code saying that the map sensor is bad. I had a compression test done and I have low pressure on the number 2 cylinder. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this or how to fix it. I have literally used this boat 1 time because of the issue.

Check water flow, it may be getting a little hot without throwing temp. alarm. Low compression is never good though.
Low compression has no easy fixes. It always gets worse as the affected parts wear. Its caused by a few things – leaking or blown head gasket, poorly sealing valves, worn piston rings, or stripped , cross threaded spark plug threads. Low compression usually means an engine rebuild.
