I just purchased a new CC with a t top and the antenna is mounted on top of the t top. As with almost all t tops the antenna is laying down and extends beyond the top. What can I do to prevent the antenna from slapping the t top rail when the antenna is down. I wouldn’t think that is good for the antenna.
A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.
I can’t remember where I saw one, but it was a small rubber keeper that screwed to the back of the t-top. It looked like a mini rod saver (if that makes any sense). I’ll do some searching tomorrow. It’s been a long night and the beers are starting to meess wiithh myy typping abillltiy

My boat is exactly as you described. I wrapped a cord around the aluminum railing several times to act as “padding” and then tied the two ends together so the cord will stay put, there is about 10" of loose cord hanging down after tying the ends. Whenever I lay my antenna down for highway travel I just wrap the loose ends around the antenna and tie a quick bow knot to secure the antenna. This keeps the antenna from whipping around.
Go to the family Dollar or a toy store and buy a pool noodle and slit it down the middle and wrap around the antenna, when in the down position. Use velcro to keep it in position, by wrapping aroung the noodle.
Know the rubberized gun holder things that mount to ATV racks. It’s a bolt-on, “U” shaped, rubber coated rifle holder.
Buy one of those, attach it to the T-Top’s rail, rest the antenna in there.
Done and DONE!
