HELP!!

We are staying on Harbor Island this week as we do every summer and we bring our boat down every year and go fishing. Being from the upstate we usually only get to come down about two times a year. We went out this morning getting on the water around 8:15 threw the cast net a couple times and got some finger mullet and shrimp. Fished in the very back of Trenchards inlet and sheep island according to google earth but we didnt catch a THING! Only coming down twice a year at a week at a time it is kinda hard to find some reds. After today i am asking for any pointers that you want to share dont just have to be for reds I would love to catch some flounder to. We will be down here until sat so i plan on fishing as much as i can thanks in advance for any shared tips!!

Ive done well around the Edisto Beach area, fishing the flats where the sound meets the grass. Very Shallow though. It seams tha once the water touches the grass the fish hide. Good luck

Fish the jetties at Fripp Island. There are 2 or 3 fingers sticking out around between the 18th hole and the condos, fish the eddy side of the finger, you should get some flounder.

Also, go to the end of the jetty and pull around to the inside, there is usually a pond/hole there that holds flounder on the falling tide. On higher tides fish a finger mullet or shrimp about a foot or two under a cork, right up against the end and the inside of the jetty, some big trout cruise there.

However, if there are people fishing the inside of the jetty from the shore, please do not move in on them.

Haven’t looked but you may also want to post this in the Beaufort section as you may get a little bit more local input.
