Herring at Lake Murray

I will be staying at the lake the next few days (Shull Island) & want to do some live baiting for stripers. Does anybody sell live herring on the water, especially in the vicinity of Shull Island? I know Richard at Lake World used to sell them at the public landing by the dam in the a.m.-is he still there in the mornings?

If not, where is the closest bait shop to Shull Island that sells them?

Birds landing is beside the bridge on Dreher Island Road. I tried to look it up but its not listed. It might be listed as a different name but I know its there. You can also get lunch and beer there. Someone below posted (“the other station near dreher island”) that he is at the dreher island boat launch in the mornings. Good luck
