Hewes Light Tackle 20 Cover

Looking for cover for Hewes Light Takle 20.

Saw one where it was completely flat, except for Buro for console.

Suggestions?

I got one for my 20 LT and for my 16’ redfisher from I Boats.com both fit great and tight easy to trailer with it on and quality is great. I think you can find them on hewes forum as well.

I have ab 18’ Redfisher. I don’t trailer it with the cover on - so if you’re going to trailer with the cover on, this won’t apply. I just use a big poly tarp from Lowes. The ones that are silver on one side and brown on the other with grommet holes. Covers everything like a cocoon except the platform and engine. Takes me 5 minutes and 5 bungees to cover it (by myself). Costs like $25 or so. This one, I believe is going on 4 years old

I contacted I-Boats. They say their cover covers 45" console and tower. Does yours?

Suggestions?

I would avoid a flat type cover. Dust, Dirt, Water, condensation, etc. will sit and collect on the cover instead of rolling off.
It also doesn’t allow much room for ventilation. I predict lots of mold and mildew problems with a flat style cover.

Unless you plan to store in a covered building and just need a dust cover.
Carver is another brand to look at.

The flat cover you saw was custom built for that boat. There are several custom canvas shops around Charleston.

I’m not sure what they are saying. The last one I got a few months ago was for my 16’ redfish it covers the entire boat and poling platform also motor. And fits very tight…

These folks should be able to help you… ask about the Carver Covers they are hard to beat. Your probably looking at about $400.00
