I have a 1997 16ft Bonefisher that is taking in water. I took it to get it checked out and confirmed the hull is not cracked because my boat service tech filled is up with water and it did not leak. We cleaned up and recaulked all drains and bolts. Its a mystery!
Any thoughts?
I had a similar issue with my boat. It was a drain from the front livewell/ anchor locker that ran out to the back of the boat out of a fitting above the drain plug. I put a stopper in it and it stopped. It is a 15 ft long hose that had become disconnected and water was literally pouring in the boat. I would look at all your thru hull fittings. Try and test them with a hose etc. It more than likely is a thru hull/ hose connected to them, or even rubrails. Good luck
im not to sure, but im pretty sure…
I had the same problem with my Stratos. It turned out to be a crack in the drain line of the rear live well. I got so aggravated with it one day I took the gas tank out and found the leak!! The drain line broke off in my hand! It was a pain but I am glad I found it. I discovered that the drain lines exiting from bottom transom have water in them for about two feet. Boat lasted another 8 years. I hope you find it?.it is a needle in a hay stack!
I have the same boat in the 98 vintage. It started to have a lot of water in the bilge after trips. The recirculation pump housing was leaking from in the livewell into bilge. May not have noticed that with the boat filled with water if the livewell plugs in. Hope this helps.
Get It!
My old boat had a crack in the ball valve to one of the live wells that took quite a while to find.
I plan on living forever, so far so good

Is there a well where the motor is mounted? If so where is the boot located for your wires and steering cable? My 17 key west was getting water in the bilge and it was getting in through the boot. Everything was fine while moving but if sitting still and anyone decided to sit on a back corner water would run through the boot. Maybe you standing on the poling platform is enough weight to cause this issue. I know they are totally different boats but stranger things have happened.

Try and ask your question here. May find another owner with the same issue.

Is your sea chest next to the trim tab pocket? If it is, that may be your problem. If it is…good luck and call Maverick. I met a guy recently that had the same issue with a 21 master angler, and his boat ended up being totaled… 02ish maverick moved the sea chest to the keel to eliminate problems.
Wait for it…
We had the same problem with a 92 bonefisher. It had the natural flow livewell, water flows in and out. There are screens over the drain holes on the inside of the livewell. The screws that hold the livewell sceens were what was leaking. We filled the boat with water as well and didnt find the problem because we didnt fill the boat enough to cover the screw holes in the livewell, which are about 1/3 of the way up the livewell. Long story short, water was coming into livewell, and then leaking into the hull. Took me forever to find that (**() leak!

Worse in rough water? Sometimes water can enter where the cap and hull meet in the front. The force of water in swells can push water into the boat if the connection is compromised. (It is a 17yr old boat) Did you check this area out while recaulking bolts?
Also we had a crack in our livewell pump that allowed a ton of water in.
