…I find myself only fishing low tide in the winter months ( shallow), i dont seem to do any good at high tide so i think i have just stayed away form it all together…??
Does anyone do good at high tide in the winter? trout? what am i missing? any thoughts or advice is appreciated and thanks in advance!
I have found that usually the fish are still in the same area at high tide as low tide. Trout you have to change you leader depth when the tide gets up if fishing with a cork. You will find as the tide rises the same depth leader that worked at low tide becomes less effective. If fishing artificial baits the water color is changing and i have found that more natural colors work best for me, where as in the summer where the water tends to be muddier the brighter colors tend to work best for me. Hope this helps
