High Tides Next Week, Who is in??

5.9 high tide on Sunday at about 4:30 pm. Going to go hit some tailing flats with some of the guys from Barton and Burwell. If anyone wants to go with us, meet at Time Out/ Barton & Burwell at 4. Not sure which flat we are going to, but should be close by.

6.2, 6.5, 6.6 Mon-Wed, 5:30, 6:30, 7:30 Big tides, thinking about Copahee front flat. Anybody have any ideas for good areas on high water???

How do you find out how high the tides will be? I’ve got the high and low tides covered, but haven’t see how to know exactly how high.

Save the Fleas!

Well…after admitting that I’ve not paddled in a year and a half, coupled with afternoon downpours and 10-15 mps winds, I may have to bow out. If yall still go, good luck. If anyone wants to go during the week, I get off @ 5:00 and can make Shem Creek or Remleys soon after from DI. I think I need to get some time in in sheltered waters before I try to tackle the bigger stuff on a day like this. Mabye next time.

Ended up going 0 for three on tailing/pushing reds. Didn’t see the fish in the same numbers that we saw last week. It was fun though to get out with a total of six boats.

Going to try again tonight (wading this time) behind the citadel. Leaving from the store at 6 if anyone is interested.

I’ve never had much luck on the really big tides 6.2+. Most of my spots get perfect on the 5.6-5.8 or so.

The fish really have to be close to the main channels so they can get in and off the flat. Gotta get creative when the water gets this big.

By the way, Thule racks set up great, thanks dave.
