About a 100 feet from the dock just planning up to go bottom fishing Saturday. No water coming in thank God. Checked the foot/prop and took off again. Would cavitate at 3K and fall off plane. Went back to the dock and changed the prop thinking it was the hub. Same thing. Took a rope and keel hauled the bottom and nothing catching…except the thru hull transducers
Figured I broke a lifting strake…pulled the boat the next day. Both transducers turned sideways…like a 4x4 in front of the prop. The force to turn those transducers could have knocked them off…They are coming off next bottom job.
In the bull river…100 feet from the dock…just got on plane…under some marsh grass! Didn’t break anything. My son is learning ALL about boats and delayed expectations.
It’s running like a scalded dog again!!! The transducers were turned …they right now!!!
Good to hear but, you said thru hull… Straighten me out…
Edit below;
I googled thru hull and see that some extend down below hull rather than being a flush type(hole cut in hull to install, or glassed in from inside) that would not snag on debris.

You know what a thru hull is. They're locked down with a big nut. That's why you use silicone instead of 5200. IF they hadn't turned...coulda been bad.
I guess you’re thinking it was glassed in on the inside of the hull. These came this way. I use " glassed in" or kick up transom mount now instead of creating drag/obstruction.

Thru hull means different things to some, i guess. Obviously, if set in epoxy, or whatever one chooses to bed it in the from inside, it wouldn’t come into play in this situation.
I understand the 5200 vs silicone thing as well. Buddy added thru hull that required cutting hole to install but, they are flush with bottom.

We do know that Bonzo is slow. We are light speed compared to a cat litter bucket hoarder.
