Hitting the Wando

Started my morning with delays. Bushy boat landing waited for about ten minutes watching one putting in, had the landing locked up then his boat wouldn’t crank. Hit bushy and one Red hurt my feelings trying to get it out of some trees. Decided to try the Wando and ran into a stranded boater and his wife. Dropped them at the landing and off to Wando. Got there and just picked an area to fish and had decent success. Two tagged 11.5" & 12" flounders. One nice trout to the boat and lost it and finally seen what many of you have talked about (Tailing Reds). Saw a few around shells and they splashed and dashed once I got too close. Was fishing the out going tide. Ran across another CF angler and he was having a bit more success. Strange rain in Wando but when I cut through Clouter creek no rain until I trailered the boat and the sky fell out. Great day on the waters. Wando here I come!

First day on the Wando.

Fatrat357, that was me you came across in the black flats boat. I think you and poochie were a stroke of luck for me, right as you got passed me i hooked up with a 26", 29", and 19" all before that rain came. That whole line you were working usually produces some nice reds before and after low tide. It was nice chatting with you, hope to see you out there again sir.
