Hobcaw creek depth?

Anyone know how deep hobcaw creek is as it gets close to 526? Looking at a house up there, about 300 yards before 526 and interested to know how much water is there st dead low. Headed over there this afternoon to check it out but low will be a few hours after I am there.

It is about 150 yards past the hobcaw creek community landing on the left.

Any help is appreciated!

@ low tide, there’s plenty to that landing and to the next bend to the left. past the bend to the left, it’s skinny at low tide.

no fish in that creek though, and certainly no trout

Google maps has the image at what appears to be low tide.
From the way it looks, Settlers Rest E and Manor Ct is the cut off.

A quick look on google maps shows which houses have boats and their size. This should give you a pretty good idea of what can fit in that creek.

Yes that is misleading though. I have a boat lift and a 22 cc on it, but its bone dry at low.

I know at the landing there is about 5 ft at low tide. I highly recommend the location But would suggest asking to measure at low tide if that is important to you. It also gets skinny at the mouth of the creek before the shipyard but nothin that would keep you from getting in and out at low.

At dead low at Hobcaw Creek Plantation ramp you will have 1ft maybe 2ft depending on low level. But I’ve seen 6inches at dead low. 300yds from 526 you will be tidal.

Big difference between 1 ft and 5 ft at low at the neighborhood landing. Any others been up there at dead low? I was able to measure 1 hour before dead low during our inspection and it was like 2.5 ft at that point but theft was off the floater. The lift is set out about 5 feet closer to main part of creek but I couldn’t get on the lift and drop a stick in from there.

I live a few doors down from the house you are speaking of. 4 to 6 in at low tide. For reference i can float my 12ft john boat about 2hrs either side of low tide.
