Hobie Livewell

For the past several years i have been using flowtroll buckets to keep my bait alive while I yak fish and it works ok some of the time. It was never practical to keep it in the water while paddling (or pedaling in my case) bc of the drag it created and taking it out of the water was not a good idea for anything other than mud minnows. Everything else would die due to a lack of fresh water. I finally broke down and purchased the livewell to use on my Pro Angler and Adventure and I am happy to say that it was a good choice. I holds plenty of water and barely makes a sound. It was a little bit on the difficult side to prime but I am sure that with a little practice it will not be an issue. As for cleaning it was a breeze. The intake and return tubes come on and of very easy and with a quick fresh water rinse all you need to do is recharge the battery. I have yet to try it with bunker but when they start showing up I will let you know how it works. For those of you who do not have a Hobie I imagine that if you measure the distance between your rear scupper holes that it might work with other companies yaks as well.
