Put some thought into whether or not to post anymore, considering the visceral comments every time someone has a good day! I read other fishing sites (Srearboard, Fla. Sportsman, Saltwater Fisherman etc.) and don’t find the child like and immature behavior we see on this site sometimes from just three or so people. On this day when I think about the Veterans who have made unthinkable sacrifices to give these few the right to act this way, I just can’t give in to being politically correct. I think it would dishonor the very people that most people got the day off to honor(I had to work today). This includes two sons that are Gunny’s in the Corps, my father a former Marine and retired Lt.Cmdr. USN, and a long family history of service to our country.
So when I go to a site, set up for posting stories(can’t hold a candle to the poets, S4G and Phin) and Pics, that’s what I’m going to do!When you see the author, Bugcatcher, if you not interested, don’t read it!!! Freedom provided by yours truly!
Realfish01 left me behind to go to the Charleston Cup so I went Hog hunting.
We used these little buggers to attract the slobs!
My friend Adam was a killer today with a big Cobia, slob Hog and pointing out the bugs as fast as we could bag them. Highlight of the day had to be the Trigger fish swarming Adam like honey bees with 4 big Lobster hanging on his stringer. They left him with bite marks on his face and chased us to the surface.
No limit had to make a showing at the Cup also and was seen having Tea with Craven so my crew was very small.Adam’s battle with the large Cobia was epic and I had to leave a 30+lb Gag to help Adam from being dragged to the surface by the Beast, a second head shot finally subduded that bad boy.

Nice catch but if I had so many friends/crew that went to silly rich people events like the charleston cup I would look for less rich friends. Or well maybe I just need richer friends then I would have more friends with boats that I could fish with. I digress…anyways nice fish

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Good job as usual Ed. Thanks for sharing the pictures for those of us who are travelling for work and freezing our fins off up in the NE. It’s nice to see that you had a really productive dive trip with Jimmy.

Great post and great Hogs! Thanks for calling out the haters and saluting the vets. I’m always on the water and have been on this site since '08 but have only posted 22x. I get enough crap at work. Semper Fi!
