Any home brewers out there?
I am on week 2 of my first 5 gallon batch of Irish Stout.

Nice! I am starting off with extract brewing. I ordered a kit from AustinHomeBrew.com today for a Belgian White that I will get into my primary next weekend.

it is a lot of fun… but i brew 5 gals at a time, and drink it pretty much all myself. 5 gals of heavy beer every few weeks will put lbs on you quick!

started getting into fruit wine as well. pretty easy. mashed up 20# strawberries, add a little sugar and water and yeast. makes a horrible tasting strawberry brandy in about 2 weeks. rack it a couple times, then add water / sugar to desired alcohol content and sweetness level. good reason to buy more carboys and keeps the women happy!

I’m getting ready to do a Canadian Ale this week. Last was a belgian wit and Hard Apple Cider before that. I find the stuff takes up alot of space and doesn’t save me any money, but it’s a good time

yup - capt. tang and I do home brew as well, although our last joint venture was pretty much a bust. I had a couple of so-so batches that need to get finished off so I can brew more, so I am taking a break and getting some more equipment together.

let me know when you are doing your next batch and we can have a brew day in the drive way

I make wine, its alot of fun trying diffrent combos. Try some balck berry and blue berry, you can buy some contrate from Grape stompers to mix in. Or buy kits from Grape stomers

Local Boy, Just having fun.

I brew 15 gal batches. Keg everything. Keep 3 taps flowing most of the time.
