I have been pretty dang busy with traveling back from Okinawa, and I finally broke away to go knock the rust off on some fish today. I ended up catching 30 Redfish and 10 trout today. Almost all of the Redfish were slot Reds with a handful that were too big (a few 26 inchers, a 27, and a 29). Most of the trout were just a hair too short. All in all, I let em all go except 6. I brought home 3 small reds, and 3 trout for the freezer. I’ll post pics later when I get my hands on my MAC Book to work on the photos.
Knocked the rust off? That’s a career day for us mere mortals! Welcome home, and thank you sincerely for your service.

The fish owed it to you Skeeter! You have been leaving them alone for a few years now:wink:
Here are the pics.

welcome back jarhead! good grief, I don’t think you skipped a beat. hell of day! if you ever plan to be on the stono side of town then let me know ahead of time. always like meeting other fishermen out here but even better another jarhead. s/f (just watch out for “Oops Lost”… he scares all the mullet away when he starts throwing tacos with the net left and right )
Thanks Fellas. There are just somethings in life you never forget. How to catch Redfish, Trout, and Flounder is one of those things for me. But, if you fish long enough, not every fishing trip is a good fishing trip with fish biting well and often. I’m ready for it to get hot and for the shrimp to come back. Hope to see some of you guys on the water.

wow, 30 Reds? We caught one 30" red and it’s the first we have put in the boat. That’s an awesome day in my book!
