Homemade hog cooker?

Anyone here ever put one together? Pics would be appreciated! Decided that I am going to put one together and have a few ideas already (have been doing hog roasts on a borrowed cooker for over twenty years)but am always looking for input before I start cutting and fabricating. In short I have an old trailer frame, a 5’long X 3’ round heavy iron fuel tank(rusted out in a spot or two)and a couple of different steel boxes that I can cut to use for a smoker box attachment. My welding skills are jsut past “beginner” status but I’ve seen a lot worse. Hopefully I’ll be dragging this to Beaufort this fall when we come down so I can do a hog “on the dock”.
Thanks all!!

If you end up cutting a barrel in half, tack weld some angle iron around the area you are gunna cut first, cuz it’ll buckle and you’ll never get that sucka right after that. I know where another BIG Propane tank is if you’re near north Columbia sometime.

I had already figured on doing that just for a cutting guide on the outside and then putting the real thing on the inside for a tighter air seal. Keep them thoughts and ideas coming…
