Start it up on the trailer and idles fine. Did ok idling around in the creek catching bait. Ran to the jetties and back no problems. Get back to ramp at Wappoo and it starts to shut off at idle. Had to start on high idle and get into gear ASAP. Get it back on the trailer after much ado and trailer back to wash the boat off. Went to flush the motor out and idled fine. Any ideas? Seems like it does fine until it gets warm and then has issues. Gas looks very clean. Brand new fuel filter, and no water in bulb. Carbs rebuilt end of last year…for a second time. Was thinking the low speed jets might be clogged, but didn’t seem like it would idle well on the hose if that’s the case. Possibly spark plug issue or maybe a hole in the fuel line somewhere causing loss of vaccuum? Oh yeah, runs fanstastic from 1/4 to wide open throttle.
try a seafoam treatment, but it sounds like an obstruction in idle circuit in carbs
