You know you have it bad when it is 28 Degrees and you are going kayak fishing
This AM was almost windless, cold but lots of sun, incoming tide, water was very clear and guess what not another boat in sight on the Wando. I wonder why no one else was on the water?
Reds were going crazy fished three different schools, they were aggressive moving around and very hungry caught our limit in the first 45 minunits and then released 14 or 15 additional all slot size.
Back at the ramp after only a little more than 2 hours of fun WHAT A GOOD FEELING LEAVING WHEN THEY WERE STILL BITTING!
This cold snap really turned them on
You cant catch anything sitting on the lounge chair not even a cold!

I’ve got it bad but I guess not bad enough. When I went to pick up the paper this morn at daylight it was 18 degrees and thought to myself, I could not imagine being on the water. Well after reading your post I wish I would have put the old long Johns on and went. Sounds like a great time. You surely were rewarded for you efforts.
And you are wrong, been sitting in the chair for the last 3 days and have caught a bad cold ha ha ha:frowning_face:

I am working on getting the proper clothing, etc… for Winter yak fishing. Once I do, I plan on being out there just like you!
Nice work Dave. Put up some pics

DFreedom, if you haven’t read TooBusy’s article on cold-weather yak gear, you need to. There is a lot of useful info.
If you’re lucky enough to be fishing, you’re lucky enough.
I guess we are not believable without photos
I am guilty of sometimes not taking the time for photos
Here is a couple from todays Trip
