Left Seabreeze at 4:30 with the kids and a friend in tow intending to go south. Hit the jetties and decided SW Banks was a better idea…and it definitely was. Had an awesome father’s day, first fish in the boat by 7 am (10 lb dolphin), 15 minutes later our first Wahoo of the year (35 lbs). Couple more dolphin then the daymaker, we thought, 82 lb Wahoo!!! Made my Father’s day! Put a couple more fish in the box then the bite slowed around 11 so we headed towards GTH. Bite turned on again around 1 with a 52 lb Dolphin (daymaker #2!) that followed a cuda up to the boat and ate a ballyhoo at the transom, then daymaker #3 a 90 lb Wahoo. I know, sounds like BS but I got pix to post if 19 of y’all will let me know how to.
Final count 5 wahoo, 6 or 7 dolphin, 4 cudas (one we brought back alive and it is swimming in a tank at the Aquarium). All between 180-270 feet, blue and pink on shotgun was hit all day. Big wahoo on red and black on planer and blue and white Islander on flatline. Weather was little sporty out and very sporty in but fine for trolling. Can’t wait for next Father’s day!!!
