fished with Ben and Chris and Matt… down south and pretty deep… back to back wahoos with the second one being a mammoth…look at dem boys they can hardle hold it up… per my boy KT i recommend head, gut and steak cut with a sawz all, 10" electrical blade… that pic was from the hoo we caught the next day…KT and Grady.

That was one hell of a fillet off the big one. Cooked some up friday night and it was awesome!!! Wish I could gone with you boys! I think the fish is taller than matt?

Russ- I think that homemade Wahoo lure did the trick- I hope you were able to repair it after we put that big boy in the boat! Great day thanks to Capt. Ben for the ride! Should’ve seen the smile on Matt Luce’s face when that big one came over the side!!

funny… i pulled the homemade lure out and looked it over, reluctantly it has been retired. that first hoo broke it into three pieces. Oh well, it went out doing what it was made to do, thats about all any of us can ask. the rig that caugt the second hoo got deep sixed the next day by a nice Mako. time to go retail and get the economy rolling. Looking forward to fishing again soon.
