Horse mullet

Anyone know of a good spot to throw a castnet from land to catch big mullet?

The pier at Demetre Park on James Island, seen some guys catching loads of them last week when out there.

Saw tons of them last week in the Wando and Cooper and in some of the smaller feeder creeks.

No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.

I just need to find a dock or bank that has them.

The retention ponds across from the shops on Daniel Island and the lake at Smythe Park have a ton of BIG mullet.

I’ve caught them downtown before. Off the battery and in my own spot that I dont wanna talk about.

It floats and has rod holders. Fine by me.

You want them to smoke and eat? I’d be looking for a clean sandy bottom if that’s the case, and that’s not easy to find around here.

If you’re looking for bait the other posts are as good advice as any.
