I was fishing a brackish neighborhood lake on JI over the weekend. The water was surprisingly clear, I think they treat the water with chemicals, but there were some of the most massive mullet in there I’d ever seen. Schools of 2+ footers, probably a solid 3 lbs at least. No cast net on the boat and couldn’t snag one. We also saw a large tailing carp… had me fooled. The lake was pretty but it turned me off from treating ponds with chems.
