Hot Bite,Reds!

Had a chance to go one more time after three weeks of therapy. Loaded up the boat with my old Bass buddy Dusty who I haven’t fished with in 20yrs after leaving the BASS trail. Got to Cherry PT landing realizing we were fishing a full moon tide on High tide, water in the parking lot, and the surface temp had dropped to 48 from 59deg the week before. I’m thinking we in trouble! Second cast a 22" Trout, then it was on! Next three hrs we had over 50 Reds in the slot, one @28" and a few more Trout. Fishing Assassin Sea Shad,Space Guppy,Chicken on a Chain,Zman Scented Paddler Houdini and Electric Chicken on 1/4oz Yellow and Red gig heads. Bait didn’t matter, we caught two at a time until we gave out of time and left them biting!

Blue tails on the Reds were absolutely Beautiful!Weather looking good for the weekend, may have to try them again!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

I’m new to fishing that area as I now have dock access on Bohicket. Mind me asking if you were in the Bohicket or somewhere else.

Cherry Point landing is in Bohickett. Great spot.

Awesome and thanks for sharing… I was wondering how the drop in water temp would effect the fishing. Good to know they’re still hungry.
