Hot Shot report for 6-23-09

On Tuesday we weaved our way out past the jetties and all of the pilings and stuff washed offshore by the high tides. There was a 30 foot long piling floating just outside of the jetties. Thanks to the pilot boat for telling all of us about it.

We went to the 240 line and stopped in about 140 feet of water. A nice dolpin hit the first line out in the water. A good start with a fish in the box right off the bat. We worked the area all day long, never going past 170 feet of water. We caught most of our fish in 140 to 150 feet of water. The blue water had pushed inshore and a small weed line formed on it. We ended the day with 20 dolphins, three king mackerel, and two barracudas. The biggest dolphin was about 30 lbs. Back at it again on Thursday.
