Hot Shot report for 9-13-09

Today we had a 3/4 day charter. The winds were out of the NE all day and put a bit of a chop on the water. We went out to 90 feet of water on the 500 line and caught a 65 lb. wahoo on the planer rod. As we were trolling around the area we saw a big leatherback turtle with what looked like two sharks underneath it. The right flat line went off and we thought it was a shark all the way to the boat. To our delight, it was a 50 lb. cobia.

Not much else for action today other than some bonitas. No kings, no barracudas. Kind of a strange day but plenty of meat.
