We left Wappoo Landing at 6:15 am and headed for the ledge. The ocean was near perfect and we made 29 knots all the way out. We high speed trolled for a few hours and picked up a nice wahoo of about 40 lbs. Around 10 am we decided to head out deeper and found some fish in 250 to 300 feet of water. We caught two more wahoos on the shotgun, a green and black Black Hole and another on a Yo-Zuri Bonita in the prop wash. We missed three or four more wahoos and one Sailfish.
We ended up with four wahoos, the largest being 65 lbs. The ride is in was great. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day on the water with good friends.
