Hot Shot report for May 10 & 11

On Sunday we fished the hard edge of green water to blue water in 400 feet on the 350 line. Filled the fish box quickly and put out the lures. No bites other than dolphins, but some really nice-sized fish. Thanks to Zed White and the Whiteline diving crew for a fun day, watching them catch 49 dolphins.

On Monday we went back to the same area but the edge had blended. Came back into 300 feet of water and kept 40 dolphins. It has been an awesome dolphin bite. Staying at the dock for a few days, putting our rigs back together and letting the winds lay down. Fishing again Thursday, hopefully.

Great job Dick, you don’t have to go deep to fill the box, hope to get out Thursday myself

Thanks Dick, Howard and David, had a blast Monday. The forecast wasn’t even close. I think we spoiled the 4 guys we took that had never been offshore before! Chuck and I didn’t reel in a single fish. Once the fire drill started about 10-10:30, it didn’t stop till we quit fishing to come home. Everytime we’d gaff somebody’s fish, we’d hand them another rod with a fish on. Non-stop!!! I think it was around 1-1:30 when the guys cried UNCLE!!! We did thank them for reeling in all the fish though. Tagged a few, pulled the hooks on a few and even had a few escape from the fish box to swim for another day.

Take A Fish Boating!!!
