Hot Shot report for May 16 & 17

On Saturday we started fishing on the ledge on the 350 line. Caught about 10 dolphins there then headed out a bit deeper. Ended up fishing in 250 feet of water and kept 28 dolphins for the day.

Today we started the day with a big storm over Charleston Harbor. Eased our way through it and headed offshore. Once again, we started on the ledge, but very few dolphins were there. Headed out deeper and caught 17 dolphins on a weedline in 300 feet of water. Ended the day early due to a few customers being seasick. Back at the dock at 2:30 pm. Looks like we will be off for a few days, waiting on the weather to break.

Good going bet you didn’t have to wait for a cleaning table.

Dick,

Thanks again for your comments here about the conditions on Friday.

Convinced me to go Saturday. Knew it was fishable…have fished much worse over the years.

When you take the family with you, marginal calls are not an option.

Not sure if that was you or Howard I spoke with yesterday but thanks all the same.
