On Tuesday we fished on the 500 line, starting in 200 feet of water. We trolled offshore and caught a sailfish in 248 feet of water, on a naked ballyhoo. Worked our way out to 350 feet, but did not get a bite. We came back in and lost a wahoo on the planer rod in 230 feet of water. We trolled along the Edisto Banks and lost a sailfish on the long rigger. There was some bait along the banks, and we stayed around it. It paid off as we landed a 65 lb. wahoo on the planer rod. The seas laid down nicely and we cruised back home at 25 knots.
Totals for the day:
1 for 2 on the sails
1 for 2 on the wahoos
