Hot Shot report for Wednesday May 14

Today we fished straight out (130 degrees) and stated on the ledge. We caught a king mackerel, a 30 lb. blackfin tuna, a 40 lb. wahoo, and another king mackerel before we hit 180 feet of water. We headed out deeper and found a small weedline, about 200 yards long. We caught some nice dolphins, biggest 35 lbs. We ended the day with 2 kings, one blackfin, one wahoo, eight dolphins, and eight bonitas. The water temp was cool, 71.1 on the ledge and 72.4 in 400 feet. The Hot Shot will be fishing again tomorrow, with Capt. Howard behind the wheel.

By the way, the ocean was beutiful today. There were some swells, but they were about 100 yards apart. We never took spray in or out. It would have been a perfect center console day.
