I want to spend a long weekend fishing and boating in Charleston. I don’t want to yank the boat out everyday. Can anyone recommend a hotel with docks that isn’t going to break my bank?
Thanks for any advise.

The Charleston Harbor resort and marina - nice but expensive
or keep boat at ripley light marina and stay at La quinta or the Residence Inn
If i have a group of people, i stay at the la quinta and keep the boat at ripley. its cheap and right beside california dreaming.
If its just me and a buddy or two, we keep the boat at the charleston harbor resort and marine, but sleep on the boat. if you keep your boat there you get access to all the resort amenities. private beach, bar, restaurant, etc. there is also a shower and washer/dryer on the pier for guest use. you also get 24 hour access to the gas dock.
We make the trip down from Santee to Charleston by boat every summer… We used to keep our boat at Ripleys and stay at The Marriot but last they told me they quit taking in transient boats.
Now we go across the river to The Harborage At Ashley Marina… You have to reserve and pay through Dockwa…

We stay at the Courtyard Charleston Waterfront and lug our bags… Its a great place to tie up and we haven’t had any problems. Good Luck…
There are a lot of VRBO options out there but it will probably require more of a search.
Thank you all for the information!
