Do they make a unit i can install with the current hours on it.Is there something i can punch in 109 hours and it keep track of the hours for me??
Not that I am aware of Joe, but I tell you what you can do. I did this recently when I had to replace mine. Just hook it up to any 12V battery for 109 hours, then install it

how about wiring the meter to a 12 volt source and just let it run for 109 hours, then install it in the boat

I was thinking that as well. With some of the new engines the hours are stored on the engine computer brain and sent to the digital gauge. Not sure his engine or gauge type though. Sounds analog to me.

Do you have a newer chartplotter? Maybe you can get the engine data with it. You might just need a few different pieces/connectors, a cable and a little know-how.
try this hour meter. You will have to set the hours.
