I measured from the butt of my rod to the first eye and it was 32" and this fish was longer so I will say 33 inches. Does that look legit? Had to work real hard for this bite due to the lack of water in several spots. My biggest red to date…on any tackle. Thanks again for all of the positive reinforcement.

</font id=“quote”></blockquote id=“quote”>Sounds right, looks right.I do the same when I’m curious. My first stripping eye is at 30". I leave the fish in the water (most of the time, probably) and get a rough measure based on that 30". Good job.
Nice one!

well due to the sun angle, the wind direction, the way the fish is being held out and the fact that you are really only 3 and a half feet tall I’d day that fish was about 14"… just kiddin… that is a grown redfush dere Bro… congratz on a nice fish!

That is a trophy. You are in the 1% that have ever caught a tailer on fly that size.
Congratulations!
Awesome fish…!
Thanks fellas. I wish I got a better pic of him but it was the first time we used that camera. I think I still might try to clean it up and blow it up a little for the house. I was a proud man standing there holding that fish!!! I guess that dry spell I had last month was meant to happen because I truely appreciated that gift!!!
