How cold is too cold?

As a born and raised Southerner it can get way too cold for me, they don’t make enough clothes to keep me warm :smiley: It’s almost never too cold for the fish though.

8:30 AM - 26 degrees, wind blowing 15kts, beer, Oliva Series V 6x60, fresh cut herring = 45# early March striper… Water 33-35 deg, 1 week after ice melt.

Thats living.

Never too cold except for the Speckled Sea Trout. If the water temps stay too low for too long, it can start to kill off the trout. Most other fish just move around to different places when it gets cold.
